Good to know

Before you do anything else

A mass tort is a group of separate injury claims against the same company over the same drug, medical device or product. Each person still has their own case, but the claims share the same evidence about what the product is and what the maker knew.

In California the general deadline to file a personal injury lawsuit is two years from the injury (Code of Civil Procedure 335.1), and the clock can start when you knew or should have known the product caused the harm. Keep the product, packaging, prescriptions, pharmacy and medical records, and note the dates you used it.
